Cubs Corner is a great place to begin your child’s education. Our brand new Early Learning Centre is conveniently located at 216 Cowlishaw St, Greenway.
The Centre will open from 7am – 6pm Monday to Friday. Cubs Corner will close between Christmas and New Year’s Day, as well as public holidays.
Cubs Corner welcomes all children up to six years old. Our dedicated team of educators are experts in early education and care, and would love to have the opportunity to work with families and the local community as their children develop.
At Cubs Corner, we are committed to providing a developmental and educational program which caters for each child’s individual needs, abilities, and interests. Our program will continue to develop each and every day, as we build relationships with the children and their families. We strive to work on our partnerships with the local community and families to ensure each child’s knowledge, ideas, culture, abilities and interests are the foundation of our programs.
We have implemented thinking and talking Floor books into each of the space’s, the floor book methods allows all the children to feel apart of the programming planning cycle.
Throughout all age groups our educators refer to and use the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) as the basis of the curriculum.
“Fundamental to the Framework is a view of children’s lives as characterised by belonging, being and becoming. From before birth children are connected to family, community, culture and place. Their earliest development and learning take place through these relationships, particularly within families, who are children’s first and most influential educators. As children participate in everyday life, they develop interests and construct their own identities and understandings of the world (EYLF pg. 7)”

At Cubs Corner, our team of educators will provide your child with the foundation they need to begin their formal education. We’ll assist with the teaching of traditional literacy and numeracy skills, as well the logic and reasoning needed to become great lifelong learners.
Ensuring that your child feels welcome and supported is at the core of everything we do at Cubs Corner. Our goal is for every child that stays at our centre to feel at home. We work closely with all children and parents to foster a supportive and positive environment. We like to think of Cubs Corner as an extension of your home, and questions are welcome at any time.
